Inasmuch Foundation announces $312,500 in grants

OKLAHOMA CITY – Inasmuch Foundation announced today the distribution of $312,500 in grants to 10 organizations serving Colorado Springs.

Inasmuch Foundation, founded by Edith Kinney Gaylord in 1982, supports education, health and human services and community enhancement initiatives that enrich the quality of life for Oklahomans. The foundation carries on its late founder’s interests in Colorado Springs by giving to nonprofits that are located in and directly serve the residents of the city.

Grants were awarded to organizations as follows:

  • $225,000 to Colorado College for a book, podcast and film celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Block Plan.
  • $20,000 to TESSA to revitalize flooring and create a healthier space for children.
  • $10,000 to Council of Neighbors and Organizations for a southeast Colorado Springs neighborhood outreach liaison to identify and educate leaders.
  • $10,000 to Colorado Springs Conservatory for scholarships for at-risk Hispanic youth from partner programs.
  • $10,000 to Fostering Hope Foundation to assist foster teens with successful community and economic integration upon leaving foster care.
  • $10,000 to Women’s Resource Agency to empower women and teen girls to self-sufficiency and economic independence.
  • $10,000 to Catholic Charities of Central Colorado to relocate the Family Connections program to the Helen Hunt Elementary School Campus.
  • $7,500 to Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region for the Peak Radar program, connecting residents and visitors with arts & culture.
  • $5,000 to Colorado Springs Teen Court to provide education and intervention to at-risk youth involved in substance use.
  • $5,000 to Franciscan Community Counseling to supplement fees for mental health counseling to those who are uninsured or underinsured.
